Siempre Bruja

Fresh off of bringing the world a dark take on the Archie Comics character Sabrina the Teenage Witch with Chilling Adventures of Sabrina, Netflix is preparing to debut another series about a young witch. Titled Siempre Bruja (or Always a Witch), this one is a Colombian production that involves time travel and stars Angely Gaviria.

Directed by Liliana Bocanegra and Mateo Stivelberg and scripted by Ana Maria Parra and Diego Vivanco from a story by Isidora Chacon, the show follows

18 year old Carmen, a Colombian slave and witch from the 17th century who, in a desperate attempt to save her loved one, travels in time to present day Cartagena. Navigating the waters of this exciting new world, Carmen will soon discover that once a witch, always a witch.

Gaviria's co-stars include Valeria Emiliani, Sofia Araujo, Dylan Fuentes, Carlos Quintero, Duban Prado, Lenard Vanderaa, Constanza Duque, Sebastian Eslava, Luis Fernando Hoyos, and Veronica Orozco.

A Caracol Television project, Siempre Bruja was produced by Juliana Barrera and Dago Garcia.

The 10 episode first season of the series will be available to watch on the Netflix streaming service / witch entertainment provider as of February 1st.
