A trailer has arrived online for director Mario Sorrenti's DISCARNATE, an interesting-looking film that drops a group of familiar faces into a story that blends together ill-advised scientific experiments, dreamworlds, creepy kids, and monster effects.

Scripted by Sorrenti and Marcella Ochoa, DISCARNATE (which recently had its premiere at the Screamfest Horror Film Festival) has the following simple synopsis:

A neuroscientist's obsession with a drug that expands the human mind inadvertently unleashes a deadly supernatural force on his team.

The cast includes Thomas Kretschmann, Nadine Velazquez, Josh Stewart, Bex Taylor-Klaus, Isiah Adams, Ashton Amaba, Chris Coy, and Matt Munroe.

The synopsis didn't sell me on this movie, but the trailer certainly did. I was expecting dreamy mind games and the trailer gives me a monstrous creature that feeds on human flesh – inspiring the film's tagline, "Once it sees your soul, it hunts your flesh." That kind of stuff is right up my alley.

Check out the trailer for DISCARNATE below and see if this looks like your sort of movie.
