Director Paul Currie's sci-fi thriller 2:22 is currently playing in select theatres and is available for viewing on VOD, but honestly the film hadn't caught my attention until I saw the trailer for it on the JoBlo Movie Trailers YouTube channel over the weekend. That trailer can be seen below, and even after watching it I couldn't tell you exactly what the movie is about. There are some fantastic visuals in there, though. Time bending and mind bending visuals.

I don't know what the hell is going on, but I'm intrigued.

Scripted by Todd Stein and Nathan Parker, 2:22 has the following synopsis:

New York air traffic controller Dylan Branson is the embodiment of a guy at the top of his game, until one day at 2:22pm, a blinding flash of light paralyzes him for a few crucial seconds as two passenger planes barely avoid a collision. Suspended from his job, Dylan begins to notice the increasingly ominous repetition of sounds and events in his life that happen at exactly the same time everyday. An underlying pattern builds, mysteriously drawing him into Grand Central Station everyday 2:22pm. As he's drawn into a complex relationship with a beautiful woman who works in an art gallery, Sarah, disturbingly complicated by her ex-boyfriend Jonas, Dylan must break the power of the past, and take control of time itself.

Michiel Huisman, Teresa Palmer, Sam Reid, Maeve Dermody, Remy Hii, and Simone Kessell star.

Check out the trailer below and see if 2:22 looks like a movie you'd like to spend some of your time watching.
