Trailer: Netflix's The Innocents series starring Guy Pearce

To tell you the absolute truth from the little bit of information I've been able to find on the upcoming Netflix original series THE INNOCENTS it could be a dark-supernatural series that makes us all keep the lights on a night... or it could be a teen-romance yuck-fest ala TWILIGHT. Forgive me if it becomes the latter.

That said, the teaser trailer that was released today is suitably creepy and I dig the visual style a lot. I'm hoping this series is more horror than romance, but at the end of the day, there is nothing wrong with a little love in the midst of some supernatural bloodshed. We'll see!

You can check out the cool and creepy teaser trailer below and then make sure to hit us up and let us know if you think THE INNOCENTS is an AITH type of show or not in the comments below or on social media.

June embarks on a journey with her boyfriend, Harry, to run away from their lives and start over. Or so they think. They quickly realize that nothing is what it seems. And in this world, the only way to survive is to change.

The series is created and written by Hania Elkington (The North London Book of the Dead) and Simon Duric (The Crown, Black Mirror) and stars Guy Pearce, Percelle Ascott, and Sorcha Groundsell.

THE INNOCENTS has not been given an official release date.

Extra Tidbit: No, it's not based on Jack Clayton THE INNOCENTS.
