Universal green-lights Edgar Wright & Simon Pegg's The World's End, first poster here

Over the past few months, minor details have trickled out of Edgar Wright and Simon Pegg regarding their new post-apocalyptic endeavor THE WORLD'S END. Enough of the speculation...Universal has just green-lit the picture, noting an October U.K. shoot. To tidy things up, we also have a new one-sheet for the flick below!

Starring Nick Frost and Simon Pegg, the latter of which co-wrote - THE WORLD'S END picks up when:

20 years after attempting an epic pub crawl, five childhood friends reunite when one of them becomes hellbent on trying the drinking marathon again. They are convinced to stage an encore by mate Gary King, a 40-year old man trapped at the cigarette end of his teens, who drags his reluctant pals to their hometown and once again attempts to reach the fabled pub – The World’s End. As they attempt to reconcile the past and present, they realize the real struggle is for the future, not just theirs but humankind’s. Reaching The World’s End is the least of their worries.

Sweet beans there, but let's hope we get more SHAUN OF THE DEAD and less HOTT FUZZ, though I enjoyed both. You think that's possible?

Extra Tidbit: You pumped or what?
