Venom won't be getting an unrated cut anytime soon

Somehow I missed Ruben Fleischer's VENOM (pre-order HERE) starring Tom Hardy in theaters this past October, but all is good as Marvel’s most badass character made its debut on Digital and on 4K Ultra HD Combo Pack, Blu-ray Combo Pack, and DVD last week... but without an unrated cut in sight. What gives? Well, Fleischer recently spoke about VENOM getting an unrated cut, and it turns out there are no plans to alter the movie.

Director Ruben Fleischer:

I’m proud of the movie we’ve put out, and I think that the additional material on the DVD adds a little bit of color to the film. I don’t feel the need at this point to release an unrated version, I feel like fans seem to really like the movie that we put out.

Well, this sucks. Are you upset that VENOM isn't going to be getting an unrated cut on Blu-ray anytime soon? Let us know below. And speaking of the film's Blu-ray release, you can check out the full list of special features below along with the Blu-ray cover art, and a fun new trailer recut that paints the film as if it were a romantic comedy.
