Victor Garcia to helm Crawl to Me adaptation

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Life of Agony bassist Alan Robert is teaming with Spanish director Victor Garcia (MIRRORS 2) and THE ORPHANAGE producer Rodar y Rodar for the big screen adaptation of CRAWL TO ME, Robert’s acclaimed graphic novel. The screenplay was penned by both T.J. Cimfel and David White and is being described as a character-driven psychological horror film. I'm not very familiar with the graphic novel but it sounds excellent. Here's how the film will break down:

The film will takes place in an isolated country town during the frigid winter months. It centers on a young family as they cope with a series of disturbing events that force them to question their relationship, their faith and their very existence.

In 2011, the CRAWL TO ME comic book miniseries, written and illustrated by Robert, was published by award-winning IDW. The series was later collected into a graphic novel and sold out within days of its January 2012 release. IDW followed up its success with three more editions: an oversized hardcover Evil Edgar Edition, and two more top-shelf versions through their IDW Limited division. That's all we've got for now but CRAWL TO ME sounds like it could make one nasty little horror flick. Let's hope Garcia can deliver the goods!
