Westworld season 3 begins shooting next month

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Truth be told, I still have yet to have the chance to sit down and watch the second season of HBO's WESTWORLD. I loved the first season and so I'm really looking forward to binge-watching it here in a bit, but yeah, I have not seen the second season. So forgive me for being vague. Anyhow, I need to catch up soon as today we have word that season three of HBO's WESTWORLD is scheduled to begin a 27 weeks shoot next month.

Again, I haven't seen the second season yet so I really can't comment on who I think and/or want to return for the third season, but I'll just go ahead and leave that to all of you to discuss amongst yourselves. That said, Casey Bloys, president of HBO Programming, is "excited to see where the next chapter will take us." So, you know, that's something.

The first season followed this synopsis:

Westworld isn't your typical amusement park. Intended for rich vacationers, the futuristic park — which is looked after by robotic "hosts" — allows its visitors to live out their fantasies through artificial consciousness. No matter how illicit the fantasy may be, there are no consequences for the park's guests, allowing for any wish to be indulged. "Westworld" — which is based on the 1973 Michael Crichton movie of the same name — features an all-star cast that includes Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins and Golden Globe winner Ed Harris.

WESTWORLD was created by Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy based on the 1973 film of the same name written and directed by Michael Crichton. The series stars Evan Rachel Wood, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, James Marsden, Luke Hemsworth, Rodrigo Santoro, Shannon Woodward, Ben Barnes, Clifton Collins Jr., Jimmi Simpson, Tessa Thompson, with Ed Harris, and Anthony Hopkins. Season three of HBO's WESTWORLD is scheduled to begin a 27 weeks shoot on March 25th. Are you excited for WESTWORLD season 3? Let us know below!
