You can take a cruise with the Walking Dead

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

Hardcore fans of The Walking Dead can now become a part of the Sailing Dead with Walker Stalker Cruise, an – I'm not kidding – interactive zombie cruise experience put on by Skybound and the folks behind Walker Stalker Con.

Now this might be a disappointment for those of you imagining a weekend of clobbering undead revenants with shovels and/or discussing the finer points of good vs. evil and responsibility in a post-apocalyptic context, but the cruise seems to be explicitly an outcropping of the convention and not a Universal Horror Nights-type event.

According to the web site, you can:

Explore the island of Nassau, Bahamas where you will be greeted by palm-lined streets leading the way to sandy beaches, duty-free shopping and delicious local fare – ideal for supply runs! Back on Norwegian Pearl, you’ll be surrounded by luxury amenities such as multiple bars and lounges, several dining experiences, a fitness center, two outdoor pools, hot tubs, a rock climbing wall, an award-winning spa, bowling ally, and onboard casino.

…Spooky. To be fair, the cruise is chock full of TV show goodies, including Q&A's, panels, activities, concerts, a "zombie makeup experience," and meet and greets with the show's stars including Norman Reedus (Daryl), Chandler Riggs (Carl), Emily Kinney (Beth), Sonequa Martin-Green (Sasha), Chad L. Coleman (Tyreese), Christian Serratos (Rosita), Lawrence Gilliard, Jr. (Bob), and Ross Marquand (Aaron). So for fans, there's still a lot to consider.

The cruise takes place from January 15th to the 18th, 2016. You can book your tickets here, if you dare.
