Zoo trailer shows houseguests are even worse during the zombie apocalypse

Zoo Antonio Steve Tublen

Writer/director Antonio Steve Tublén's film ZOO takes place during a zombie apocalypse, but there's only a glimpse of flesh eating members of the living dead in the newly released trailer for the oddly titled film. It mostly focuses on a couple who lock themselves in their apartment to hang out and do some drugs while the world falls apart, then it becomes a tale of houseguests from Hell when some strangers show up at their door.

ZOO is described as being a dark comedy, and it does look to me like it could be an amusing, good time.

The synopsis:

Karen and John have lost their spark in married life the day they were notified that they were unable to conceive. Now they almost live like the walking dead, imprisoned by everyday life and on the verge of divorce. When the world is hit by a pandemic that really turns people into zombies, the couple have to lock themselves in their apartment, waiting for rescue. While the world outside is falling apart, they are forced to find their way back to each other and reclaim their lost love.

Zoë Tapper, Ed Speleers, Antonia Campbell-Hughes, and Jan Bijvoet star.

ZOO doesn't appear to have a release date just yet, but the trailer and poster can be seen below.
