Jason Voorhees stalks counselors in Friday the 13th: The Game footage

FRIDAY THE 13TH movies tend to focus on the potential victims, following them as slasher Jason Voorhees stalks them and whittles down their numbers. But while watching an F13, have you ever stopped to think about the effort Jason has to put in to pull off all these murders?

Some fans are currently making their way around a beta version of Gun Media/IllFonic's Friday the 13th: The Game, and a couple days ago IGN shared a video that showed 17 minutes of gameplay from the perspective of someone playing as a counselor. Now they have uploaded a video that shows 15 minutes of gameplay from the perspective of someone playing as Jason – and while watching this video, I realized that hunting down all these counselors can be a real hassle. Even though the game allows Jason to teleport around the map and move after victims on the run at an accelerated pace, he still has to go through a lot of trouble to catch up with and dispatch them.

It ain't easy being Jason.

Friday the 13th: The Game was made with the cooperation of Sean S. Cunningham, director of the original FRIDAY THE 13TH. Series composer Harry Manfredini provided the score, Tom Savini designed some kills, and Kane Hodder did the motion capture performance to bring the game's Jason to life.
