Terminator 6 set photos offer first look at Linda Hamilton & Mackenzie Davis

The TERMINATOR franchise has spent a lot of years weathering a lot of storms, mostly due to several movies that have just not been up to snuff for fans. Now things are going back to basics a bit with director Tim Miller and producer James Cameron’s new movie, which will see the return of Linda Hamilton’s Sarah Connor. One of the greatest female heroines ever is back in action and looks awesome as ever in the first photos from the set.

The photos made their way online recently (with The Terminator Fans getting them on their site), and Hamilton looks suited up and ready for whatever robot madness is thrown at her.

But that’s not all. Actress Mackenzie Davis also has a big role in the movie and even more photos have surfaced of her on the set, and she looks ABSOLUTELY shredded with a sick short hairdo the screams “action hero.” A closer look reveals some scarring on Davis, hinting her character has seen plenty of combat. I don't know what Skynet has in store for these action stars, but whatever it is doesn't stand a chance.

Arnold Schwarzenegger will also be back for the movie, along with Gabriel Luna as a new Terminator and Natalia Reyes as woman who needs Davis's protection. Though there have been several movies between this and the last time we saw Hamilton's Connor in T2: JUDGEMENT DAY (TERMINATOR 3, TERMINATOR: SALVATION and TERMINATOR: GENISYS), this movie will ignore those outright, as Cameron said:

This is a continuation of the story from Terminator 1 and Terminator 2. And we’re pretending the other films were a bad dream. Or an alternate timeline, which is permissible in our multiverse. This was really driven more by [Tim] than anybody, surprisingly, because I came in pretty agnostic about where we took it. The only thing I insisted on was that we somehow revamp it and reinvent it for the 21st century.

So what do you guys think? Like Jamie Lee Curtis in HALLOWEEN Hamilton looks like she hasn't skipped a beat and seems ready to jump back into the fray. Davis also looks fantastic, and together the two will probably kick a lot of robot ass.
