Next week Marvel mania continues with the release of SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME, and while you are certainly itching for any new details about Spidey’s new adventure, you’ll just have to wait like everyone else. However, if you want a taste of the movie beyond the clips and trailers you can have a listen to some of the work from composer Michael Giacchino, who returns here after working on SPIDER-MAN: HOMECOMING in 2017.

Combining several tracks from the movie’s score, the suite – cleverly titled “Far From Home Suite Home” – offers listeners a quick taste of what the complete score has to offer. Starting off with the familiar theme from HOMECOMING, the suite moves into a more emotional piece, all before kicking things back up with an adrenaline-pumping sound, spy-movie influences (Stealth scenes?) and even getting into some electronic-heavy pieces (for Mysterio, maybe?).

The Oscar-winning composer (UP) has a rather light year ahead of him so far, with only FAR FROM HOME on the docket as far as blockbuster projects go. He has one more in store for us this year but with the smaller movie JOJO RABBIT from director Taika Waititi. There may not be as heroic a sound with that one as there is with SPIDER-MAN, but knowing Waititi, he could be wanting something far crazier than we could expect.
SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME stars Tom Holland, Jake Gyllenhaal, Jon Favreau, Zendaya, Marisa Tomei, Jacob Batalon, Cobie Smulders and Samuel L. Jackson and is in theaters July 2.
