Marc Webb will direct the Limitless TV series pilot for CBS

While waiting to see what's going on with the SPIDER-MAN franchise (don't hold your breath), director Marc Webb is turning his attention to TV. Last year he directed a pilot for Showtime called Crazy Ex-Girlfriend, which still hopes to become a series, and now he will helm the TV pilot for the CBS series adaptation of LIMITLESS.

The 2011 movie starred Bradley Cooper as a struggling writer (you could tell because he had long dirty hair) who takes a mysterious drug that increases his brains abilities. The movie’s director, Neil Burger, was once attached to take on the pilot episode but scheduling got in the way; he will still be involved as an executive producer along with Cooper, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci.

The show will follow the same character Cooper played who is now working for the FBI, solving weekly cases of course. After the pilot, Webb is attached to direct THE ONLY LIVING BOY IN NEW YORK starring Miles Teller which tells the tale of a young man who learns that his overbearing father is having an affair. The son tries to stop it, but ends up becoming involved with the woman as well. That sounds a lot more dramatic than SPIDER-MAN if you ask me.

Are you going to try out Limitless as a series?
