Mark Ruffalo shares a shot of his exit from the Infinity War movies

For whatever reason, I can't stop thinking of the Saturday Night Live skit Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy when I see this photo of Mark Ruffalo. Perhaps it's because I'm imaging soft piano tones as Ruffalo's Hulk trudges over the horizon line, a traveler's bindle propped over his shoulder and a grimace on his big, green face.

The image, originally posted on Reddit, was then shared by Ruffalo via his Facebook page, with the abbreviation "IW," for "Infinity War." Upon viewing the photo, fans immediately made connections to the closing scene from Bill Bixby's HULK television show (1977).

Assuming that the reference was executed on purpose, it would be one hell of a "winking way" to end Hulk's participation in the biggest cinematic event in Marvel history, up until this time.

Here's the real question though: What do you think the Incredible Hulk would pack in a bindle? My money is on a few extra shirts and perhaps a pair of pants or two. You know, now that I think about it, this could all just be in reference to a behind-the-scenes gag, with the old school series firmly in mind. Either way, the image it self is pretty hilarious. Then again, I don't know if anyone can look cool in those mo-cap suits. Well, Andy Serkis, Toby Kebbell, and Doug Jones, maybe.

Either way, AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR will arrive in theaters on May 4th, with AVENGERS 4 to follow on May 3, 2019.
