Sliver/Basic Instinct (SE) - April 28/March14

Mike Sampson's favorite G.I.L.F. has got to be stoked that two of her more whore-y films are getting special editions. It's like when you hear some really hot young actress saying that she better do nude stuff now so when she's 60 she can look back to those films and see just how hot her body used to be. Only Ms. Stone is 90 and looking back to when she was 75 and saying, "ah, those were the days." Um, no they weren't, Nana, but nice try. Now go lie down. Unfortunately for you Sliver fans, no specs have been released, but check out the artwork below. You gotta love the tagline, You like to watch....don't you... Well, yeah, but do you absolutely have to bust me out on that? As far as the Basic Instinct Triple-Dip goes, see specs below, minus ice pick.

  • Director Paul Verhoeven and Director of Photography Jan de Bont
  • A Conversation with Sharon Stone
  • A DVD Introduction by Sharon Stone,
  • Screen Tests
  • A Blonde Poison: the Making of Basic Instinct - Featurette
  • A Cleaning Up Basic Instinct Montage
  • Storyboard Comparisons
  • New interactive menus
  • Trailers

King Kong - March 28

Save the date, kiddies, March 28th is being reported by everyone and their baby's mama that this will be the release date for P-Nut Jackson's latest. Stay tuned as specs are officially announced.

Derailed - March 21

You didn't hear much about Derailed when it was released, other than super cool dude Jivin' Clive Owen rocked Jen Aniston the whole movie. That's what I heard anyway. Well, I don't need to hear much more than that, put me in coach! I'm ready to play. Specs for Derailed include some Deleted Scenes and seperate Anamorphic Widescreen and Full screen editions. Yeah, not much.

Clive-being a total gentleman and all around stud-rejects Jennifer's offer to pay HIM for a good time.

The Ten Commandments (SE) - March 21

Interesting thing about this 50th Anniversary Edition is that the same extras were available on the previous two-disc special edition, as reported by DVDTimes. So what gives? This new edition will also include the 1923 silent version. The film is enhanced with a Dolby Surround Stereo soundtrack so you'll rumble in your seat as Charleston Heston utters his infamous line, "Who loves you, and who do you love??!!"

Wait, that was The Running Man....

The David Spade Collection - April 4

The fact that David Spade has a collection makes me want to bite my fingers off. Spade's a good comedy writer, no question about that, but the dude's schtick is soo unfunny to me (then and now) and it doesn't surprise me that he's done crap since Farley visited that big doughnut in the sky. Also doesn't surprise me that two out of three movies co-star Farley. Or shall I say, the Farley movie's co-star David Spade. Well, Black Sheep was nothing to write home about, right? Included with this collection is the Tommy Boy: The Holy Schneike Edition, the aforementioned Black Sheep and Dickey Roberts: Former Child Actor. These discs will be the same ones that are already available for purchase with no additional extras as part of the collection. Way to go.

Bubbles: This movie has severed baby heads on the cover. And it's directed by Steven Soderbergh. Mom will love it and so will you! 1/31

Magnum, P.I. (S3): When I was a little kid I thought Tom Selleck and Burt Reynolds were the same person. What a dumb little cooze. Of course they are! 1/31

Knight Rider (S3): Just another show with a curly haired dude and a car.....but it's a talking car. And the curly haired dude is loved by Germans everywhere (especially in Germania!) 1/31

Elizabethtown: Oh, Kirsten Dunst, I just can't quit you. 2/7
