The Latest Announcements

Nightmare on Elm Street (SE) - September 26

Infinifilm has put together some cool DVDs over the last few years and continuing on with said coolness is my favorite horror character this side of Hillary Clinton. Playing upon your fears in a dream state, all the while wearing a cool ass sweater, Freddy is the pinnacle of scariness to me. Plus, he has a pretty smooth dance move. I also love the artwork below. Simple and effective.

  • “All-Access Pass” documentaries:
    • “Never Sleep Again” – the making of A Nightmare on Elm Street
    • “Freddy’s Coming For You” – trivia challenge
  • Beyond-the-Movie documentaries:

    • “Night Terrors” – the origins of Wes Craven’s nightmares

    • Exclusive Nightmare video clips
    • Feature-length audio essays with Wes Craven, Robert Englund, Heather Langenkamp and more

The Sentinel - August 29

Looking very 24-ish (maybe it's just Kiefer in a suit), The Sentinel is about a traitor being discovered within the secret service. Everything thinks its Michael Douglas but he's all like, "Man, it wasn't me. I was busy rubbing my wife Catherine Zeta-Jones feet." But no one listens. Hot on his trail are two federal investigators, Kiefer Sutherland and Eva Longoria. Eva's all like, "Where's that Michael Douglas?!" and then looks at the camera with that "who, me?" look and then Kiefer says something that no one can understand but it sounds like a dirt bike on a gravel. Then Eva runs and her suit gets caught in a nail, ripping the whole thing off and she looks at the camera with that "aw, shucks" look. Roll credits.

The Office (S2) - September 12

Thanks to everyone for helping me step away from God of War for PS2, I'm much more calm and enjoying Arrested Devolpment. Oh and you can't return a wireless controller if it's in 90 pieces, FYI. Well, here's another that I haven't seen yet, but I love Steve Carell. Preliminary specs for the 22 episodes, which will be presented in 1.78:1 anamorphic widescreen, include deleted and extended scenes and some outtakes.
