The Punisher (Extended Edition) - November 21

Thomas Jane was at Wizard Con earlier this month but I left after waiting hours and hours seeing as how he was the "big name" (movie-wise) other than Kevin Smith at the Con. Anyway, hopefully the additional seventeen minutes can add some kind of......eh, no it won't. Read JoBlo's review of the film HERE.

  • Commentary with Jonathan Hensleigh
  • Extended Version of the Film - Over 17 Minutes of Additional Material!
  • Animated Kuwait Deleted Scene - The Kuwait Battle Scene, originally slated to open THE PUNISHER. was never shot. In a groundbreaking (?!) DVD first, audiences will finally be able to enjoy this scene recreated in animated form and starring Thomas Jane and Russell Andrews
  • THE PUNISHER Comic Book Gallery - This feature will allow viewers to click through a gallery of select past and present Marvel comic book covers featuring THE PUNISHER.
  • "Making Of" Featurette
  • Anamorphic Widescreen
  • Dolby Digital 5.1 EX and DTS-ES 6.1 Surround

The Break-Up - October 17

Hopefully, the more films that get made in Chicago (not in Toronto or Vancouver as a substitute for Chicago) will lose its novelty. That way, I don't have to hear about it on the news every ten seconds and people can stop acting like douchebags. I swear, more people showed up where they were filming than the Chicago White Sox parade when they won the championship. It's Jennifer Aniston people, not like the Pope showed up or anything.

  • Feature Commentary with Actors Vince Vaughn and Jennifer Aniston
  • Feature Commentary with Director Peyton Reed
  • Alternate Ending
  • Deleted & Extended Scenes
  • Outtakes
  • Improv with Vince Vaughn and Jon Favreau with Optional Commentary
  • In Perfect Harmony: The Tone Rangers
  • The Making of The Break-Up
  • Three Brothers: A Tour of Chicago
  • English DD5.1 Surround
  • French & Spanish DD2.0 Stereo
  • English SDH, French & Spanish subtitles

An Evening with Kevin Smith 2: Evening Harder - November 7

Stay tuned for some artwork for Kevin Smith's follow up to his successful "Evening" DVD where he went around country for some Q&A. Some features on this disc will include Toronto: Limo Ride , a featurette in which Kevin Smith hits the streets of Toronto, determined to answer the all-important question, “What is Canadian cuisine?” and London: Man on the Street , a featurette where Smith sidekick Jason Mewes tries out various pick-up lines on the ladies in London. Something tells me that when he says, "fag", people will be throwing cigarettes at him.

Pirates of the Caribbean 2: Dead Man's Chest - December 5

Mark that date on your calendar, which will see the DVD releases for Clerks 2 and this summer's Pirates sequel (as well as other cool shit). Disney has some early specs that will include writer commentaries, a blooper reel, featurettes covering the stunts, special effects, character detail and Pirates lore. Yaaaarg like a motherf*cker, yo. Stay tuned for official specs as they're released.

Sword play with Bloom and Depp. A gay (and some straight) man's fantasy.
