25/8 title change

Wes Craven is big in movie news today.

Paul covered a story with some SCREAM 4 info, and now Craven announces a title change. The recently completed 25/8 has now been changed to MY SOUL TO TAKE. I like the title, but that’s probably because it sounds like it could be a Cradle of Filth song.

If you don’t know too much about the movie, it’s a tween horror about a serial killer who comes back to his hometown to murder kids who we born on the day he was put to rest. I’m not terribly interested in this film, but might have been when I was 13 or 14.

Those were the days of the “Goosebumps” books, and I was oddly reminded of one of my favorites that was part of a spin-off series. The book was called “Ghosts of Fear Street: Hide and Go Shriek”. The story was about a dead boy who made the children of the town go play hide and seek on his birthday, and the boy would take over the body of the kid who loses. This thought was helped by seeing two of the photos from the film.

Craven passed the news along via his Twitter account, so if you do the 140 characters thing, here’s his.
