ROTK: Special Extended Edition - December 14

Here is the honest to God, scout's honor, official announcement from New Line of the Extended Edition specs for Return of The King. As much as I really love these movies, as much as I appreciate all the hard work from the cast and crew and especially Peter Jackson for being so good with the stacked first editions of each of the installments...I'll be glad when I don't have to hear another thing about it.

Aragorn never did get that callback for The Big Lebowski.

Collateral - December 14

Out the same day as Return of the King is a double disc set for COLLATERAL, which I haven't seen yet but it's aces with JoBlo (read the dude's review HERE). No official specs have been related but being a two disc set, you'll know it'll be just as stacked as your friend's mama when you were growing up.

Mark Ruffalo does his best JoBlo impersonation.

Garden State - December 28

I've always enjoyed intimate and personal movies like Garden State. Especially when Natalie Portman is in them, like her upcoming movie CLOSER where she strips with a pink wig on. Nothing more personal and intimate than that.

  • Commentary by Writer/Director/Actor/Scrub Zach Braff and the very smokin' Natalie Portman
  • Commentary by Zach Braff and selected crew
  • Sixteen deleted scenew with optional director commentary
  • Making of Garden State - Featurette
  • Outtakes
  • Soundtrack promo spot
  • English DD5.1 track
  • Anamorphic Widescreen

Natalie Portman's reaction to me sitting outside her window for the last few days. Chick loves me.

Napolean Dynamite - December 21

Apparently, dorks friggin rule. If I knew this back in high school, I would've stayed until I was 25. But then again, I'm still a dork and I certainly don't rule one iota. See? Only dorks use the word "iota".

  • Commentary by Director/Co-Writer Jared Hess, actor Jon Heder and Producer Jeremy Coon
  • Five deleted scenes with commentary by the director, actor Jon Heder and Producer Jeremy Coon
  • Still gallery
  • The Making of the Wedding of the Century - Featurette
  • MTV On-Air promos
  • A trailer for Arrested Development

Arrested Development won an Emmy so I guess that's why they're putting it on every FOX DVD.

The JoBlo team gathers up for a night of coke, movies and hookers. Minus coke and hookers.
