The Latest Announcements

Saw - February 15

I'm going to be the first to announce that the whole play on words with, "See Saw!" or "Let's go see Saw!" or "I just saw Saw!" was over before it even started and it wasn't funny then and it sure as hell isn't funny now. In any case, here's some preliminary details on the upcoming DVD release for the flick, which I haven't seen....saw....seen.... whatever..

  • Audio commentary by director James Wan and star/co-writer Leigh Whannell
  • Fear Factory's "Bite the Hand That Feeds" music video with a "making of" featurette
  • Trailers

"People sawing themselves in here; I'm too old for this shit."

Friday Night Lights - January 18

I could've swore while watching this I heard someone say, "I don't want...your life!" I could be mistaken though. Billy Bob Thorton is way cooler than anyone else (except for maybe Mr. Depp) so you might want to pick this up if you're into football or Billy Bob, or both.

  • Audio commentary with Director Peter Berg and Writer Buzz Bissinger
  • Deleted scenes
  • Player cam in which you can experience all the action that ensues (hopefully a new porn feature as well?)
  • Story of the 1988 Permian Panthers - featurette
  • 2.35:1 Anamorphic Widescreen

"You don't complete this pass I'll.....I'll....kiss you."

Orgazmo (SE) - February 15

Any DVD that includes a Drunken commentary I have to have. The same goes for a Kevin Smith commentary. Any thing done by South Park golden boys Trey and Matt, is all good in my book. I'm behind on the times so I haven't seen this yet, so flame me if you're inclined.

  • Unrated cut of the movie
  • Three comentaries (including a Drunken commentary and a special appearance by Kevin Smith)
  • Over an hour of outtakes and deleted scenes
  • Book of Orgazmo - documentary

Sky Captain and the World of Tommorow - February 22

Preliminary specs include two audio commentaries, five behind the scenes featurettes on the various aspects of the films production, deleted scenes, a gag reel and the original six-minute short that inspired the film. Stay tuned to JoBlo.com for further details and dancing chihuahuas.

Friday Night Lights

Vanity Fair

The Iron Giant (SE): Brad Bird hit the money with THE INCREDIBLES, which was fantastic, and that same kind of magic that makes it work is displayed right here. 11/16

The Chronicles of Riddick (Director's Cut): Riddick is back and, well, he's just kind of there. 11/16

Smallville (S3): The area my ex-girlfriend use to refer to....uh, use your imagination. 11/16

Kids in the Hall (S2): The best thing that ever came out of Canada.....besides JoBlo.com! (There, I said it, can you loosen the ropes now?) 11/16

Riddick told the audience, "And for my next trick..." promptly falling right into a pit of alligators.
