Tilt (S1) - June 14

If you've seen ESPN's new show (written by Rounders' scribes David Levien and Brian Koppelman) you'd think that even though casinos have security that rivals the Pentagon, the casino managers all the way down to the players are scamming anyone looking to play some cards. Casinos have a lot to lose, I highly doubt that's happening. How about the hot blonde, Miami? Smokin', baby. It's nice to see a queen amongst all the jokers on the show. (Okay, so I stole that line.)

Beyond the Sea - June 7

If you want to get laid, all you have to do is set some mood lighting, light some incense, pop open a bottle of champagne (spring for the good stuff), and throw on some Bobby Darin. Although I've been trying this for the past, oh, 10 years or so, I've been unable to capitalize on "getting to home base". Shit, I've been trying to steal second base since the early 90s. But a friend of my brother's friend told me this process works. He may be lying, but you don't lie about getting laid and Bobby Darin. Or maybe you do? Fine. Kate Bosworth and Kevin Spacey, need I say more?

Boogeyman - May 31

The trailer for this looked pretty spooky but it turns out that so many people were let down by the lack of delivery when it came to freaking everyone out. What it did was bum everyone out instead. Ah, the glory of editing a trailer.

Punisher: Director's Cut?

It's possible that a director's cut can improve the quality of a movie (Daredevil) or lower what was already a good to begin with(Donnie Darko). Can the same be said of last year's Punisher? Hey, anything's possible! DavisDVD posted an interesting rumor regarding this very topic. "Aintitcoolnews reports that Lions Gate is planning to relieve you of your cash with a double-dip re-release of The Punisher. Appearing at the Wizard World comic convention in L.A., artist Tim Bradstreet mentioned that "The Punisher: Director's Cut" DVD is in the works and will add backstory and whatnot, including scenes of Frank Castle during wartime. Bradstreet goes on to say that none of these scenes were originally shot, so the actors will be filmed on a green screen stage with backgrounds added digitally. Presumably this all will take place during the upcoming production of the sequel. The extended DVD most likely will be released with the marketing push for "The Punisher 2."

Thanks to Schmoe 'CyclicNightmare' for the heads up.

Closer: I can't praise this flick enough. I mean, come on, Natalie Portman in a thong, man! The rest of the movie's good too. 3/29

Orgazmo (SE): Special features include a "drunken commentary with Matt and Trey..." They continue to be my heroes. 3/29

After the Sunset: Does anyone really care what's going on in the movie if Salma's prancing around in a bikini? 3/29

Sideways: Not a bad flick at all, but the accolades it received were blown way out of proportion. 3/29
