Coach Carter - June 21

I wasn't sure what Coach Carter was all about, but I knew that it had Sam Jackson as the aforementioned coach and he wasn't likely to be swearing or yelling. Okay, maybe yelling. Apparently Coach Carter was a highschool basketball coach "who received high praise - and staunch criticism - for benching his entire undefeated team due to their poor academic performances." Yikes. You mean there's actually someone who believes that high school ball players should have an education, instead of giving them cars and money and a ticket to the NBA? I don't believe it! The DVD itself will have two behind the scenes featurettes and six deleted scenes with seperate widescreen and full screen editions available.

"...and you will know my name is the Lord, when my team rains its 3's upon you..."

The Pacifier - June 28

I certainly don't mind seeing Vin Diesel straying from his type-cast, tough guy roles, but come on. It's so obvious to offset his rough exterior and Darth Vader like voice by throwing in a couple of rug rats and Kindergarden Cop atmosphere. See the juxtaposition?! Me too! Grab this in anamorphic widescreen and fullscreen editions, listen to it in Dolby Digital 5.1, watch the special features containing deleted scenes, a blooper reel, cast interviews and then fall asleep.

Let's play a game: it's called, "Draw your own metaphor"

The Godfather II & III (SE) - May 24

If for some reason you wanted to purchase each of the Godfather flicks seperate, or you didn't feel like purchasing the outstanding Godfather Collection, you should be slapped royally. Maybe you didn't care for the third Godfather like the rest of the world and didn't want shell out some of your hard earned cash for it. Anyway, these seperate releases' only feature is a commentary track by Mr. Francis Ford Coppola, which is one of the best and most informative commentary tracks I've ever heard. Coppola really knows the ins and outs of his movies right down to the most minute detail. My advice is to lay off the ripple for a couple weeks and purchase the whole Collection, as it contains a fourth bonus disc with some uber-cool shit.

Woodsman: The cover of this is Kevin Bacon staring intently at a red ball, which is more disturbing to me than him playing a rehabbed pedophile. Don't ask. 4/12

Knight Rider (S2): Mr. Knight, still in full effect. 4/12

Criminal: John C. Reilly, the delectable Maggie Gyllenhall. What else do you need? Right, popcorn. 4/12

"I am Michael Knight; Behold my tan and white teeth.
