XXX: State of the Union - July 26

Don't hate on the Cube because he's doing the whole crossover thing. He wrote Amerikkka's Most Wanted for Christsake! Death Certificate too! So ease up on my boy before I run to the shelf and dust off the A-K, biznotch! Oh, I have no excuse for that one flick he did with the kids. Cube, you're on your own with that one, homeskillet.

Ong Bak: The Thai Warrior - July 19

Nothing is cooler than the name "Ong Bak". I'd imagine you'd have a helluva time getting through grade school with that. Better than Michael Bolton I guess. JoBlo gave this flick 6 out of 10 nachos, and if you know JoBlo, he's not too generous when it comes to his 'chos, so you may want to check this out.

Ghostbusters 1 & 2 Gift Set - August 2

Apparently there was some big hub bub about this release a few days ago, in particular, Sony stated that they were releasing only the SECOND Ghostbusters in widescreen and that the ORIGINAL Ghostbusters was going to be released in Pan & Scan, which totally pissed off a bunch of Slimer and Ernie Hudson fans. So, according to DavisDVD.com, that has changed. It seems that the fans voices were heard and Sony is now releasing the original Ghostbusters in widescreen. This all happened and you had no idea it was even going on. Me either, I was detailing my shoes. In case you forgot, you can check the specs below and also a very cool looking menu shot (no, really).

  • Audio commentary (with director Ivan Reitman, writer/actor Harold Ramis and producer Joe Medjuck)
  • Deleted Scenes
  • Three featurettes
  • Storyboards
  • Multi-angle features
  • Two ectoplasmic episodes from the animated "Slimer and the Real Ghostbusters" series

Seed of Chucky: Chucky can kick the Energizer Bunny's ass any day of the week. I mean, the dude doesn't ever stop, and he's got no freakin' batteries! 6/7

Gone in Sixty Seconds (SE): Unfortunately, the same can't be said for Nicolas Cage's career. 6/7

The Sopranos (S5): I've got my TIVO set for May 19, 2015, because that's when the new Sopranos season will start. Maybe even later? 6/7

D.E.B.S.: Hot young girls in schoolgirl outfits doing espionage type shit. Not the most original, but definitely pretty smokin'. 6/7

Can someone please tell me what the hell Redman's doing in a movie...a horror movie...with Jennifer "Pillows" Tilly?!
