Crashers on DVD

When I got to see WEDDING CRASHERS in theaters it was one of those unfortunate circumstances where the movie is hilarious but you wind up missing half the jokes because the audience is laughing so hard you missed it. At the end, I was thinking how much I liked the film but was also looking forward to it hitting DVD so I could watch it again in the silence of my own home. Today we get word from New Line about the DVD of CRASHERS, which is set to hit theaters on January 3 in both R-rated and unrated versions. (Quick question: Why January and not in December to capitalize on the holiday rush?) The regular version will include audio commentary from Owen Wilson, Vince Vaughn and director David Dobkin, deleted scenes, a "Wedding Crashing" game and a featurette on the making of the film (among other more traditional features like trailers). The unrated, or "Uncorked" version as they're calling it, will feature all those extras plus an additional nine minutes of footage, the "infamous '99 Red Balloons' scene and test audience reactions to specific scenes. Oddly enough, both the R-rated and "Uncorked" versions are the same price at $29 so why not get the unrated one right? I'm not a lucky owner of a PSP but I'll also add that the movie will simultaneously release on UMB for PSP as well (same price as the DVD).
