Oscar-winner Morgan Freeman and Oscar-nominee Florence Pugh are set to star in A Good Person, a new feature written and directed by Zach Braff. The newly-announced project marks a reunion for Freeman and Braff, who previously teamed for Braff's 2017 geriatric crime-comedy Going in Style.

A Good Person revolves around Allison (Pugh), whose life falls apart following her involvement in a fatal accident. In the following years, it is the unlikely relationship she forms with her would-be father-in-law (Freeman) that helps her live a life worth living.

Rocket Science is overseeing international sales and plans to put the project out on display for buyers at the upcoming virtual Berlin market. While Freeman is already a legend among the Hollywood elite, Pugh continues to rise through the ranks with knock-out performances in films like Ari Aster's Midsommar, and Greta Gerwig's Little Women. Pugh is also set to play Yelena Belova for Marvel's Black Widow film and the upcoming Hawkeye series for Disney Plus. She's also set to play Alice in Olivia Wilde's Don't Worry Darling, which also stars Chris Pine, Gemma Chan, Harry Styles, Nick Kroll, Douglas Smith, Asif Ali, and Kiki Layne, amongst others.

Ever since being blown away by Pugh's performance as Dani in Ari Aster's Midsommar, I'm willing to watch her in just about anything. A Good Person sounds like it could be an emotionally-charged drama that provides Pugh with plenty of room to spread her wings. If that turns out to be the case, I may have to check this one out.
