It was not that long ago that we told you about Tom Cruise’s search for a sexy starlet to co-star with him in his next movie. Now just over a week later, I’m back telling you the same thing.
Cruise is now testing with a new batch of actresses for his other upcoming movie, the sci-fi epic OBLIVION, expect it’s not called OBLIVION anymore, it’s called HORIZONS. This weekend Cruise will meet with Jessica Chastain, Olivia Wilde, Brit Marling, Noomi Rapace and Olga Kurylenko to figure out who will be his leading lady.
Cruise must have a chubby for Brit Marling as he wanted her for his other project, ONE SHOT, but scheduling conflicts forced her to drop out of the running (the role eventually went to Rosamund Pike). Wilde may also have an inside track as she previously worked with director Joseph Kosinski on TRON: LEGACY.
In the film, Cruise will star as a man who lives in the clouds (no, seriously) and repairs drones to keep the Earth safe from alien invaders (no, seriously). Considering it’s a movie, I’m guessing something goes wrong and alien invaders sneak through and Tom Cruise has a hot girlfriend and etc. and so on and so forth.
HORIZONS or OBLIVION or HORIZION or whatever you want to call it, is currently scheduled for release on July 19, 2013.
