A new Hellboy poster arrives before Thursday’s official trailer reveal

All praise be to HELLBOY, the film that saved Monday's snoozy Hollywood news cycle! After an all-too-quiet morning in the bullpen, IGN unveiled an exclusive new poster for Neil Marshall and David Harbour's HELLBOY reboot, alongside the news that an official trailer is set to debut this Thursday!

As you can see, the new poster features Harbour's Big Red with his long, demonic horns still intact, and a menacing scowl on his stoney face. As flames dance in the shape of a crown above his blood red-colored dome, we can see the tagline "Demons Have Demons Too" above the upcoming film's stylish logo.

Based on the graphic novel series created by Mike Mignola, HELLBOY will find the kitten pettin', pancake lovin' hellspawn up against an ancient sorceress, known to many as The Blood Queen (Milla Jovovich), who wants revenge on humankind.

Starring alongside Harbour and Jovovich for the highly-anticipated reboot are Ian McShane as Hellboy's adoptive father Professor Bruttenholm, Daniel Dae Kim, who plays an undead Marine captain named Ben Daimio, and Sasha Lane, who stars as Alice Monaghan, a human woman Hellboy once rescued from a group of fairies.

Thursday's the day, my friends! Are you pumped? I know I am. Personally, I think Harbour looks incredible as Mignola's classic character, and I'm very much looking forward to seeing Marshall's R-rated take on the Right Hand of Doom's Lovecraftian world. After all, there is so much to explore with regard to the character's 25-year history. Here's hoping that Thursday's trailer brings the heat, and gets fans even more pumped for the hellish hero's return next year.

HELLBOY will arrive in theaters on April 12, 2019.
