Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore’s next rom com gets a new title

Last Updated on August 2, 2021

There’s no shame in saying that your are looking forward to the next flick from Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore. Sure, GROWN-UPS 2 may not have been the comedy flick you were aiming to see but Sandler and Barrymore aren’t putting out rom coms every year.

Their next project has been retitled from BLENDED to now THE FAMILYMOON. The title was changed simply because marketing showed that the latter was liked more. What was wrong with BLENDED? THE FAMILYMOON just screams cheesy. I can see the poster now. Yuck.

This is not to say that it won’t be a good movie though the plot doesn’t completely sell me. The film centers on “a couple that, after a terrible blind date, find themselves and their children from past marriages stuck together at a resort for families.” You know they’ll get together because they always do but…what if they don’t? Dun dun dun! Yeah, not likely.

THE FAMILYMOON is due to release on May 23, 2014.
