While there's been a bit of controversy over the live-action GHOST IN THE SHELL adaptation regarding its cast and whether or not the film will live up to the source material, there's no denying that visual aesthetics are pretty damn solid. Director Rupert Sanders showed some finesse with SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN and he's looking to take on some deeper subject matter with GHOST IN THE SHELL. Adam Savage recently paid Weta Workshop a visit to check out some of the props made for the film. If you're a fan of practical effects, the following Tested video is a must!

I'll always remember Richard Taylor from those ridiculously in-depth (an amazing) LORD OF THE RINGS documentaries, in which Taylor and his crew were responsible for crafting the weapons and armor for the films. I'm glad to see that his passion and dedication to detail is as strong as ever. Here's hoping that GHOST IN THE SHELL is worthy of such commitment!

GHOST IN THE SHELL will open in theaters on March 31, 2017.
