Affleck directs Hamm

POT book cover

Ben Affleck’s sophomore effort behind the camera just got a bit “Mad” with the casting of Jon Hamm alongside fast-rising beauty Rebecca Hall, in a romantic crime thriller called THE TOWN.

Based on the Chuck Hogan novel “Prince of Thieves” which has nothing to do with Kevin Costner nor Bryan Adams, the film sees Affleck as a career thief who falls for the lovely manager (Hall) of a bank he just robbed, with Hamm’s FBI agent hot on his tracks.

Affleck did get through a bit of a rough patch where most audiences grew tired of him (fuelled by the film-that-shall-not-be-named), but if GONE BABY GONE was any indication, Big Ben is back on track and better than ever. No release date is known yet for the film, but in the meantime Hamm will be back August 16th on Mad Men while Ben will most likely split my sides on September 4th in Mike Judge’s EXTRACT.
