Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin sign on for Stand Up Guys

Does anyone remember the news on that movie about a bunch of old guys who were going to steal shit and get into hijinks?

No, it wasn’t SPACE COWBOYS. Right on the age range, off on the plot. Actually, it’s a little movie called STAND UP GUYS.

The film will be helmed by Fisher Stevens (producer of THE COVE) and focus on, “two aging criminals, one of whom has been hired to kill his friend. They decide to enjoy one last night of debauchery in which they hit up a brothel, steal some cars and evade police but also face the choices they made in their lives.”

Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin are set to star in the film. All three actors have worked with each other in some capacity, whether it be Pacino and Arkin in GLENGARRY GLEN ROSS or Akrin and Walken in AMERICA’S SWEETHEARTS. Pacino and Walken were in the shitstorm known as GIGLI, but never shared any screentime.

The film will shoot this April in Los Angeles.
