Just when you thought you couldn't handle anymore of Dave Bautista and Chloe Coleman's adorable antics, Amazon Prime and STX have announced that they're looking to reunite the cast, and director Peter Segal, for another round of pint-sized sarcasm and pinky promises.

Reports indicate that the project is still in its early stages of development and that a distributor for MY SPY 2 has yet to be confirmed. That said, insiders are saying that because the original performed like gangbusters on Prime Video, that Amazon is in early talks.

In MY SPY, a hardened CIA operative (Bautista) finds himself at the mercy of a precocious 9-year-old girl (Coleman), having been sent undercover to surveil her family.

Written by Erich and John Hoeber, MY SPY was originally meant to arrive in theaters on April 17 before coronavirus restrictions had forced cinemas to shutter their doors to the public. Later it was announced that the family-oriented action-comedy would debut on Amazon Prime on June 26. Eventually, the movie did see a theatrical release in Canada, Australia, UK, NZ, Russia, South Korea, Hong Kong, Brazil, Mexico, Germany, Saudi Arabia and more, though it only grossed $9M due to the extenuating circumstances.
