Anna Paquin goes in for the kiss with Matt Damon in the trailer for Margaret

High school is hard. You’ve gotta find someone to take your virginity, B- is not a good enough grade on a test, and ladies strolling babies are always getting hit by buses. Time to start writing in that journal, or blog as the kids do these days.

A trailer for MARGARET is finally seeing the light of day. The film was made way back in 2005 by Kenneth Lonergan (ANALYZE THIS). The bottom line on this issue is that it took him too damn long because he was struggling with trying to cut the film under two and a half hours. We understand it’s your creation, but if the trailer is an indication it looks decent. Plus, you got a great cast: Anna Paquin, Matt Damon, Mark Ruffalo, J. Smith-Cameron, Matthew Broderick, Jean Reno.

Check out the trailer below.

Synopsis:

“MARGARET centers on a 17-year-old New York City high-school student who feels certain that she inadvertently played a role in a traffic accident that has claimed a woman’s life. In her attempts to set things right she meets with opposition at every step. Torn apart with frustration, she begins emotionally brutalizing her family, her friends, her teachers, and most of all, herself. She has been confronted quite unexpectedly with a basic truth: that her youthful ideals are on a collision course against the realities and compromises of the adult world.”
