With all the sequels coming out this year it’s going to be hard to keep track of them all. But one I’m almost positive you’ve forgotten about is the follow-up to 2014’s ANNABELLE — ANNABELLE 2. All we have gotten for the movie is a brief teaser from back in September, which though creepy has already been forgotten. Luckily, there’s a new image out there that will put the creepy image of the possessed doll right back into your brain.
Coming Soon got ahold of the image featuring the horrific, porcelain demon doing what all porcelain demons are normally seen doing. That or she’s getting ready to give someone a serious heart-to-heart talk a la The Cosby Show:

The movie will act as a sequel to the prequel/spin-off of THE CONJURING, wherein the doll stole the show in the movie’s opening act (and later the climax). The movie was originally slated for this May, but once ALIEN: COVENANT’s bumped-up date triggered a hell storm of date shifts ANNABELLE 2 was pushed back to August 11. This will also act as David F. Sandberg’s directorial follow-up to the surprisingly good LIGHTS OUT as he continues his quest to bring up past childhood terrors.
I didn’t hate the first ANNABELLE movie, but it didn’t scare the hell out of me like CONJURING did. There was too much lag time between the horror, but benefited from often eerie atmospherics and, when we got them, some note-worthy scares. Hopefully ANNABELLE 2 can rise above its predecessor, and I have faith it will thanks to Sandberg and Co. It really shouldn't be that hard to make something like this scary.
