A GOOD DAY TO DIE HARD is just a month away and now we have yet another trailer to sell you a seat to John McClane’s next against-the-odds outing. This time, McClane (Bruce Willis) teams up with his CIA agent son, Jack (Jai Courtney) in an effort to thwart some Russian terrorists. This new trailer paints a better picture of the narrative of the film, which looks like a vibrant, bombastic entry into the franchise, much more akin to the last film in the series, rather than the first three.

Although I’m not teetering with joy for this, there’s still a sense of loyalty to ol’ John McClane. There’s a whole lot of things I would rather see him do, but in the end I’m a fan of the series and always hopeful that they can recapture the magic that is the 1988 original, if even just a little. I was really impressed with Jai Courtney in JACK REACHER, so seeing him here is no longer an eye roll. Ultimately, I’m just gonna say it, this looks like a good time.
