Best Movie and TV Trailers of the Week!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Welcome to the best trailers of the week! Each week, the gang here at JoBlo scours the internet for the best footage of upcoming movie and televiion trailers, and puts together a compilation of what looks to be like must see cinema. There's a lot of future genre gems to be excited about today, and lucky for you, it's all in one place. Check out the videos below to catch a sneak peek at what's coming up.

Just when you thought you couldn't stand to look at yet another zombie movie, director Antonio Tublen flips the genre on its head with ZOO, a peculiar movie that appears to be a strange tumble down a very dark rabbit hole. Starring BORGMAN's Jan Bijvoet, this post apocalyptic tale about a couple hiding out from the end of the world in their apartment grows all the more interesting when a pair of strangers knock on their door, asking for sanctuary. What follows is a subtle power struggle which grows more dangerous by the day, culminating in a showdown that proves itself to be more deadly than the walkers waiting for them outside. This looks like a solid flick sophomore flick from Tublen, and one that we'll definitely be catching when it hits the big screen.

CAM is also not to be missed. A movie that comes from the producers of GET OUT and is led by Madeline Brewer's strong performance as Alice, this film tells the story of Alice, a seductively creative cam girl whose identity is stolen when an unknown entity who shares her face steals her account and begins posting content on her behalf. CAM chillingly explores the world of webcamming, diving deep into the life of a sex worker, while simultaneously providing an honest look at social media and its effects on the human psyche. I loved this movie when I caught it at Fantasia Fest, especially given that the script is penned by talented writer and real life cam girl Isa Mazzei, and I can't wait for the world to get a chance to see it for themselves.

CAPERNAUM also looks terrific, and the fact that trusted critic Emily Yoshida is singing its praises has definitely got me intrigued. If you're a HARRY POTTER fan, you're going to want to look at the newest footage for FANTASTIC BEASTS 2, and any fan of film is general should take a peek at the new Coen Brothers' joint, THE BALLAD OF BUSTER SCRUGGS.

Next up we have TV trailers! This week saw new ones for Deadly Class from The Russo Bros. Hulu's The Bisexual, the new Trevor Noah comedy special, David Attenborough's Our Planet on Netflix, the new season of Narcos, Dogs of Berlin and more!

The best trailer of the week award of course belongs to the Coen Brothers movie, THE BALLAD OF BUSTER SCRUGGS. Starring James Franco, Liam Neeson, Zoe Kazan, Tom Waits, Brendan Gleeson, Clancy BrownTim Blake Nelson, and THE WITCH's Ralph Ineson, this movie looks as beautiful as it does uproariously hilarious. Besides, it's always exciting to see what new material Joel and Ethan are stirring up in their very special cinematic universes.
