Big Mouth season 2 teaser finds The Hormone Monsters wreaking havoc

While DISENCHANTMENT is serving up a big bowl of “meh” on Netflix, the streaming giant still has the terrific adult animated show BIG MOUTH available for us to watch and admire for it's filthy, vulgar but hauntingly accurate take on adolescence. The second season will offer up more delightfully crude humor and examinations of young, horny minds, and the first teaser for the new episodes finds the youngsters sucked into the very belly of The Hormone Monster, having to wait until October 5 for sweet release.

The show’s main voice cast is returning, including   Nick Kroll, John Mulaney, Maya Rudolph, Jason Mantzoukas, Jordan Peele, Fred Armisen, Jenny Slate and Jessi Klein, with David Thewlis and Gina Rodriguez joining as The Shame Monster and Gina, respectively.

The first season was a perfect blend of outlandish, R-rated humor and sweetness, and it's just the perfect show to break up the monotony of junior high/high school-set shows and movies. Chances are most of us haven't had hallucinations of giant hairy, depraved monsters, but there is something relatable in these teen's sometimes-gross and often-embarrassing quest through puberty and young adulthood. Or, who knows, maybe more of you more unique folks did see a giant monster, in which case this show is very accurate.

Season two of the critically-acclaimed and widely inappropriate series Big Mouth, returns on October 5th, picking up right where it left off, and 7th grade is even more embarrassing than ever. This season the gang is still grappling with all of the emotional baggage that comes with growing up.  As their hormones continue to rage, they are confronted with the awkward reality of self discovery, body image shame, birth control, and countless other humiliating moments.
