At the recent TCA press tour, “Family Guy” overlord Seth McFarlane mentioned the possibility of giving the spectacularly dysfunctional Griffin family the big screen treatment. Nothing concrete is in the works and at this point McFarlane doesn’t even have a story in place but he did mention a definite interest in producing a feature film somewhere down the line. The only thing he did mention about this proposed feature is that he didn’t want to make it a grand, epic adventure in which the Griffin family single-handedly and presumably hilariously save the world from certain doom. Which implies he’d like to basically make it one very long episode of “Family Guy” – can any one person take that much pop culture referencing? We may find out soon enough.
Big screen Family Guy?
