Michael B. Jordan has been making the promotional rounds for his new film, Without Remorse, and while many of the interviews have stayed on topic talking about his current film, many of them want to know about his other potential projects. The Superman rumor has been a hot topic of conversation but it's a character he played in a Marvel film that also keeps popping up. Michael B. Jordan played the villain Killmonger in Black Panther and many people want to know if he will be making a return in the upcoming sequel.

In an interview with SXM, Jordan is asked about a possible return in Black Panther 2 on a scale of 1-10 in regards to how likely it would be for it to happen. Jordan, likely disappointing many fans, gave that chance a solid 2, meaning that it's likely not happening at all:

“I didn’t want to go with zero, you know what I mean? And it’s like, you know, never say never, you know, I can’t predict the future. So I mean, it’s ‘Black Panther 2’. The two, I just figured two would be like, two sounds okay, I guess… All I know is that they’re developing a script that, you know, is a reflection of a lot of circumstances and tragedy that we had to deal with this past year.”

Jordan's turn as Killmonger in Black Panther was met with high praise from critics and fans alike. In the film, his character challenged T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) for the throne and even tried to kill our hero. The two engaged in a lengthy third-act fight that ultimately saw T'Challa killing Killmonger. You would think fans would view this as the end of the character but Marvel has a track record of bringing characters back to life (looking at you Loki) and I think that's why many are wondering if Killmonger could possibly return.

That being said, Jordan's answer is still a bit all over the place as he says he's giving the "2" answer because it's Black Panther 2. He seems to be playing coy on the same level he has been playing coy about the Superman rumors. Perhaps all of these guys at Marvel are trained to not give definitive answers because they want to keep some mystery alive. Jordan is very close with director Ryan Coogler so if something was to happen regarding a return, I'm sure these two could make it happen but also keep it a very big secret.

Not much is known about Black Panther 2 in terms of plot, especially as they deal with the difficult task of moving forward without Chadwick Boseman after he lost his battle with cancer last year. What has been revealed is that Tenoch Huerta will be playing a villain role in the film but Marvel has not confirmed what villain Huerta will be playing

Do YOU think Michael B. Jordan should return as Killmonger or should Marvel focus on a new villain in Black Panther 2
