New character posters for Marvel's Black Widow are here to tease the cast of the upcoming action-packed spy thriller. Launching simultaneously in theaters and on Disney+ with Premium Access in most areas on July 9, the long-delayed film marks the start of the MCU's Phase 4 in theaters.

Directed by Cate Shortland (LoreBerlin Syndrome), Black Widow takes us to the time when Natasha Romanoff aka Black Widow confronts the darker parts of her ledger when a dangerous conspiracy with ties to her past arises. Pursued by a force that will stop at nothing to bring her down, Natasha must deal with her history as a spy and the broken relationships left in her wake long before she became an Avenger.

The long-overdue female-fronted solo feature stars Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei/Red Guardian, and Rachel Weisz as Melina. The film also features the classic Marvel villain Taskmaster as an unstoppable and adaptable force of nature.

After delaying the film several times due to the pandemic, Black Widow is finally ready to welcome MCU fans to the beginning of Phase 4. There's no doubt in my mind that Marvel fans are going to each this movie up with a fork and knife as it feels like way too long since we got a proper Marvel movie. Black Widow might have perished in the events of Avengers: Endgame, but there's more to her story than some might assume. Will this be Natasha's final appearance on the big screen? Will Yelena take the Black Widow mantle before all is said and done? Who is Taskmaster? Thankfully, we won't have to wait long to find out.

You can check out the new character posters below, featuring Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff/Black Widow, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova, David Harbour as Alexei/Red Guardian, Rachel Weisz as Melina, O-T Fagbenle as Mason, and Taskmaster. Interestingly, the only poster that does not include an actor's name at the top is Taskmaster's. No doubt Marvel is planning something major for when the character's identity is finally revealed. Place your bets now, True Believers!
