Bourne 4 on or not?

Depending on what you believe, director Paul Greengrass has no intention of coming back for his third BOURNE movie, amidst reports of supposed creative problems and studio tension.

But apparently Matt Damon just thinks Greengrass is taking his time, but the star is ready whenever. As Damon tells Collider: “I’ll just wait for him and when he wants to do one, we’ll do it.”

So how about returning as the slightly amnesiac government assassin for a different director? Damon says if the Grass ain’t Green, he won’t play: “Yeah, I’ve always said that. But I think it will happen down the road. We just don’t have a script right now.”

While another globetrotting spy adventure will have to wait, Damon’s schedule is busier than ever — he’s already got Soberbergh’s LIBERACE and the Coens’ TRUE GRIT rolling next year, probably on top of a half-dozen other things.
