Brie Larson gets a role in Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s Addiction

Last Updated on August 5, 2021

For most of us, Brie Larson first drove us wild as Envy Adams in SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD. She then received roles in RAMPART and 21 JUMP STREET. Now she’s moving on to Joseph Gordon-Levitt’s directorial debut, ADDICTION.

The film stars Levitt as, “a porn-addicted, modern day Don Juan who sets out to become a less selfish person after meeting a recently widowed older woman (Julianne Moore). Scarlett Johansson co-stars in the dark comedy alongside Rob Brown and Tony Danza, the latter of whom plays the protag’s father.” Yes, Tony “WHO’S THE BOSS?” Danza. I was just as surprised as you are.

Larson will return for the sequel to 21 JUMP STREET, which turned out to be an exceptionally hilarious film. I was pretty damn surprised by it. I’m wondering if a second installment could even top the first.

It will be interesting to see Levitt’s skills as a director. He’s been around the block since he was a youngster, so he’s absorbed a lot in the business. I guess we’ll see how much he learned soon enough.
