Brilliant Jack Ryan/The Office parody pits Jim Ryan against Dwight Schrute

Perhaps one of the greatest rivalries in modern times is that of Jim Halpert (John Krasinski) and Dwight Schrute (Rainn Wilson) on NBC’s beloved comedy THE OFFICE. The two went back and forth with pranks and schemes, and though their shenanigans were fun for us as an audience, this new parody video from the folks at Funny or Die takes things to a much more intense level.

Meshing scenes from THE OFFICE with footage from Krasinski’s new Amazon Prime series JACK RYAN, both Dwight and “Jim Ryan” go head-to-head in a game of cat and mouse that finds the former toying with the rookie Ryan in a manner that is both absurd and sadistic. Surely, they never trained Ryan how to handle a bull tranquilizer or volleys of snowballs at the academy.

I have yet to check out JACK RYAN on Amazon, but I assume it would be vastly better with Dwight as the main baddie. Sure, there is probably some intriguing suspense and exhilarating action as it stands, but does it have Dwight achieving world domination by wearing a wig to make him look like the president of the United States? No, well then it has yet to live up to its full potential.
