Jack the Giant Slayer movie still 1

We haven’t heard much about at all about JACK THE GIANT SLAYER in what I believe is technically referred to as “a long-ass time.”  That’s all about to change though, as director Bryan Singer has confirmed that he is in the process of putting together a trailer that will appear in front of both RISE OF THE GUARDIANS and THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY.  In order to promote the trailer that is promoting his movie, Singer has tweeted out several pictures from the editing room – one is a slightly-new look at star Nicholas Hoult, whilst the other is a rather fuzzy first glimpse at one of the titular giants.  The first trailer (released back when the movie was still called JACK THE GIANT KILLER) only showed shadows, scared human faces, and giant limbs, but now we have a plain view of the bumpy face and frazzled hair of a giant.  There’s of course no telling which giant this is, but I’m sure all will soon be revealed with the upcoming new footage.

You can support Jack in his 3D giant slaying on March 1st, 2013.

Cast recap: Alongside Nicholas Hoult we have Eleonor Tomlinson, Ian McShane, Billy Nighy, Ewan McGregor, Stanley Tucci, Warwick Davis, and Eddie Marsan.

Plot recap: Jack the Giant Slayer tells the story of an ancient war that is reignited when a young farmhand unwittingly opens a gateway between our world and a fearsome race of giants. Unleashed on the Earth for the first time in centuries, the giants strive to reclaim the land they once lost, forcing the young man, Jack, into the battle of his life to stop them. Fighting for a kingdom, its people, and the love of a brave princess, he comes face to face with the unstoppable warriors he thought only existed in legend–and gets the chance to become a legend himself.
