Carrey says yes

Jim Carrey's next movie needs to be a big one. THE NUMBER 23 was prophetic because that's how many people saw the movie, and even though FUN WITH DICK AND JANE made money, it was anything but fun. And after a bunch of projects failing to get off the ground, to quote Chris Rock, he need a hit more than a crackhead need a hit. Sounds like he might have one on his hands with YES MAN. HARRY POTTER producer David Heyman is developing the high concept comedy for Carrey:

“It’s about a man who finds himself very depressed, and is always saying no. When friends ask him out, he always says no,” Heyman said of the script. “[The film will explore] what happens when he decides to say yes to every thing that comes his way.”

This sounds like a high concept comedy spun in reality. No 'universal remote' here, no sir, nuh uh. Heyman went on to call this "one of the funniest scripts I've read" which is good news, because if Jim Carrey can do anything, it's make a funny script even funnier. Carrey is naturally hilarious, as he consistently proves on talk shows the world over, time and time again. Heyman hopes to start production in the fall.

Extra Tidbit: Jim Carrey was born in Newmarket, Ontario, where my friend Tyler is currently rotting away at his mother's house, and where my laptop is currently under repairs at the Dell depot.
