Even though BLACK PANTHER doesn't hit theaters for a couple of years, there's a good chance we might get to see Chadwick Boseman in the role before then. During a Variety Actors on Actors interview (watch the video below), Logan Lerman (FURY) asked Boseman about his new role as Black Panther in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. While the actor is clearly excited for the part, many are talking about how he described the "bigger picture" taking place and his tease about the possibility that we will see him arrive sooner.

Here's what Boseman said to Lerman about taking the role:

"I’m excited about it too! I’m beyond excited. It’s like to the point where you feel numb and then your mind goes off into, ‘Ok, how do I achieve that?’ But I think the great thing about it is that this actual character is unique in a lot of ways. I can’t think of another character that’s like the leader of a nation and is a superhero at the same time. There are a lot of different ways this story can go, you know, and ways that they can do it, so I’m really just excited about how it fits into the bigger picture of what Marvel is doing."

And here's what Boseman’s replied when Lerman asked if there was a director yet:

"There’s a director on the movies that I’m introduced, but not for ‘Black Panther. But just being a part of that discussion is huge. You know, you’re reading the comic books and you have ideas about how that’s gonna happen and you can discuss that."

It's interesting that we won’t see the BLACK PANTHER movie until November 3, 2017, but it sounds like the character will appear before that, "movies" being the keyword from Boseman. There are those AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON reshoots in January, so perhaps they are looking to squeeze him in there. There are four Phase 3 movies before BLACK PANTHER (CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR, DOCTOR STRANGE, GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY 2, THOR: RAGNAROK), so it’s anyone’s guess really as to when we might see him first.

When do you think Boseman will make his debut?
