I know this isn't exactly a new video, and some of you have probably seen this before, but with Hugh Jackman playing Wolverine now for the seventh time in X-MEN: DAYS OF FUTURE PAST, I figured most of you would enjoy watching the actor's audition that helped him land his breakthrough role in Bryan Singer's X-MEN.
Hugh Jackman wasn't the first choice to play Wolverine (Dougray Scott was originally cast before dropping out when MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE II went over schedule), but now it's hard to imagine anyone else playing the adamantium laced mutant. In many people's eyes, Hugh Jackman IS Wolverine. Jackman has also commented multiple times about how much he loves the character, and unlike some actors, has had no problem revisiting the role that launched his career.
Jackman hasn't been lazy about playing the character either. Over the years it's been well documented how much time and energy the actor spends building and maintaining muscle to play Wolverine. Hugh Jackman can't play Wolverine forever, but whoever ends up playing the character after Jackman will have some very big shoes to fill.
