Could Guy Ritchie be the new director for The Man From U.N.C.L.E.?

I forgot that Steven Soderbergh dropped out of directing the big screen version of THE MAN FROM U.N.C.L.E. For a little while there, I felt like I was writing rumored casting for the film every other week. Does anyone even want to see this series turned into a movie?

When George Clooney was loosely attached, I was mildly interested. Then when he dropped out it was just one actor after another being eyed for one of the leading roles. But it looks like I’m interested again since Guy Ritchie might be the new helmer on the project.

Warner Bros. are currently trying to make a deal with Ritchie and his new partner Lionel Wigram to take on this film. I have yet to grow tired of Ritchie and his directing style so I would be interested in seeing how he adapts the early 60’s television show into a full length film.
