Writer/director Luc Besson (THE FIFTH ELEMENT) returns to the sci-fi genre with his latest, VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS. Starring Dane DeHaan and Cara Delevingne, the story follows Valerian and Laureline, who are special operatives for the government of the human territories charged with maintaining order throughout the universe. EuropaCorp has released a new image from the film in what I can only imagine is Valerian logging some video game time before he goes to hit on Laureline.
Besson has been pretty good about taking on-set pictures, but I think SDCC will give us our first really good look at what this movie is all about. Fortunately, we'll be checking out the panel at SDCC later today! Be sure to check back for some in-depth coverage on who shows up, what they say, and most importantly, what they show!
VALERIAN AND THE CITY OF A THOUSAND PLANETS will open in theaters on July 21, 2017.
